Amazon Studio has chosen not one but two writers to make the new Lord of the rings series.
They have been searching for a while but now the streaming service has decided the authors for the highly awaited and huge-budget Lord of the Rings TV Series, finally! Well, it’s not out yet but the excitement is high.
The writers named JD Payne and Patrick McKay will write the story for the series, it’s the same writers for the upcoming Star Trek 4 movie and also the Jungle Cruise for Disney.
Both are kinda newcomers but they have a lot of films to make and are obviously great at storytelling.
In a press release from Amazon, they tell how excited they are and take it with a responsibility not to disappoint.
“The rich world that J.R.R. Tolkien created is filled with majesty and heart, wisdom and complexity,” said JD Payne
“We are absolutely thrilled to be partnering with Amazon to bring it to life anew. We feel like Frodo, setting out from the Shire, with a great responsibility in our care — it is the beginning of the adventure of a lifetime.” said McKay.
Amazon plans to make multiple seasons and the estimated cost is up to $500 million dollars, making it the most expensive freshman TV project ever.
Maybe Gandalf will be in it or maybe Legolas? We’ll have to wait and see.
